General Rules for All Spriinkl Sweepstakes

Last Updated: 8/30/2026

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE DOES NOT IMPROVE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.

1. Eligibility

VOID WHERE PROHIBITED. OPEN ONLY TO LEGAL RESIDENTS OF THE UNITED STATES, WHO ARE 18 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER. PRIZES WILL ONLY BE AWARDED TO U.S. PERSONS (U.S. CITIZENS OR U.S. RESIDENT ALIENS).

Non-U.S. residents may participate in event activities but are ineligible to win sweepstakes prizes due to U.S. tax regulations.

2. Sponsor / Host

Each sweepstakes is hosted and administered solely by the event organizer ("Host") using the Spriinkl platform. Spriinkl is not the sponsor of any sweepstakes, does not award prizes, and assumes no liability for prize fulfillment, tax reporting, or disputes.

3. Prize Value Limit

The total announced value of all prizes offered in a single event may not exceed $5,000 USD, calculated by combining the retail value of every prize awarded in that event. Events offering prizes with a combined announced value above this amount are not permitted on the platform.

4. How to Enter

There are multiple ways to earn entries into an event's sweepstakes:

  • Free Activity Entries: Guests earn 1 entry per activity by completing event activities such as posting in the guestbook, sharing photos, answering trivia, using the suggestion box, or replying to other guests' posts.
  • Gift Recording Entries: Guests who record gifts for the honoree earn 1 entry for recording their gift(s), regardless of the number of gifts or dollar amount. No purchase is necessary to enter or win, and a purchase does not improve the chances of winning.

All entries, whether earned by purchase or by free activities, are weighted equally in the random drawing.

5. Prize(s)

The prizes for each event, including a description of each prize and its approximate retail value, are stated on the event page and in the abbreviated rules displayed at each point of entry. The Host is responsible for providing and delivering the prizes described. Prizes are non-transferable and may not be substituted except at the Host's discretion.

5A. Required Event Information

For each event, the following information is displayed on the event page and in the abbreviated rules at each point of entry: the name and mailing address of the event Host; a description of each prize and its approximate retail value; the start date, end date, and time zone of the entry period; the eligibility requirements set out in Section 1; the method and date of winner selection; and a statement that the odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received.

6. Winner Selection and Uniqueness

Winners will be chosen at random by the Spriinkl platform's automated system from all eligible entries received by the entry deadline. The odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received.

Important: No single participant can win both first and second prizes in the same event. If the same person is selected for both prizes, a new drawing will be conducted for the second prize.

7. Taxes and IRS Reporting

  • The Host is solely responsible for any federal, state, or local tax reporting obligations related to prizes. Prizes valued at $600 or more may require the Host to issue an IRS Form 1099-MISC to the winner and file a copy with the IRS.
  • Winners are responsible for reporting all prize winnings as income on their personal tax returns, regardless of the prize value.
  • Spriinkl is not a tax advisor. All hosts and winners should consult with a tax professional regarding their specific reporting requirements.
  • Spriinkl is not responsible for preparing or filing IRS forms for Hosts or winners.

8. Entry Limits

Each entrant may earn a maximum of the number of entries selected by the Host for the event. This limit applies to the total entries from all methods combined. Attempts to exceed this limit may result in disqualification.

9. General Conditions

  • By participating, entrants agree to abide by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Host, which are final.
  • The Host reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the sweepstakes if fraud or technical failures compromise the integrity of the promotion.
  • Spriinkl is not responsible for errors, omissions, or technical malfunctions.

10. Limitation of Liability

By entering, participants release Spriinkl, its affiliates, and service providers from any liability, claims, or damages arising from participation in any sweepstakes or from the acceptance, use, or misuse of any prize.

11. Governing Law

These Official Rules and any sweepstakes conducted under them are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict of law provisions, except to the extent that the consumer protection laws of an entrant's state of residence apply notwithstanding this provision.
