For each event, the event Host is the primary "Data Controller." They decide what information is collected for their event. Spriinkl acts as a "Data Processor" on behalf of the Host.

• Information You Provide: This includes your name, email, and any content you post, such as guestbook messages, photos, suggestion box submissions, trivia answers, or gift details when you create an account or participate in an event.
• Information from Hosts: Hosts provide information about their event, including the honoree's email address (to grant the honoree access), a list of guest emails for invitation purposes, and their own mailing address (used as the sweepstakes sponsor address and disclosed to invited guests for legal compliance).
• Usage Information: We collect technical data about how you interact with our services, such as your IP address, browser type, and pages visited. This helps us improve our platform.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To operate and maintain the Spriinkl platform.
• To display your contributions (like guestbook messages) on the event page you are participating in.
• To enable Hosts to manage their events and see participant activity.
• To process payments for premium features (via a third-party processor).
• To communicate with you about service updates or support requests.
• To enforce our terms and prevent fraudulent activity.

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal data. We may share it in the following limited circumstances:

• With the Event Host: The Host of an event you participate in can see your name, email, and activity related to their event (e.g., gifts logged and sweepstakes entries earned).
• With the Honoree: The honoree of an event can see your name, email, and contributions related to their event (e.g., guestbook messages, photos, suggestions, trivia participation, and gift descriptions).
• With Other Guests: Your name and public contributions (guestbook messages, photos, suggestion box submissions, and trivia participation) are visible to other guests of the same event.
• With Service Providers: We use third-party vendors for services like payment processing and cloud hosting. We only share the information necessary for them to perform their service.
• For Legal Reasons: We may disclose your information if required by law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Spriinkl, our users, or the public.

We retain your data for as long as necessary to provide our services or as required for legal and accounting purposes. Account-level deletion may require additional verification.
